The cottage Casa Niagara is located on the perimeter of the small mountain village of El Jaral in the south of Tenerife. Built over a 100 years ago in typical Canary style of massive stone, this house has an ideal climate throughout the whole year. At the centre of the holiday house there is a large romantic courtyard with a small garden, seating area and a vine covered pergola.

Above: Topping the tower room is a roof terrace with a seating area, sun-beds and a splendid view across the landscape. The roofs of the Casa Niagara have been restored and are covered with some new and partly antique roof tiles.

The Casa Niagara is located together with four other holiday homes on a 4 hectare sized Finca with a panorama view across the Atlantic.
|

Throughout the grounds are numerous paths and hidden seats or terraces with wonderful views of the Atlantic, the sunset or the neighbouring island of La Gomera.

The rustic and authentic character of the Finca has been preserved throughout the planning of the garden. For example the cacti used previously for breeding cochineal beetles have been integrated into the overall design.

A swimming-pool with a sun-terrace and seating is available for the use of all the guests. From here one has a good view of the whole of the Finca.

Your own personal indulgence programme is complete with sauna. In addition there is a wine-Bodega on the Finca which is ideal for small parties or events.

The rustic interior of the Casa Niagara is decorated fancifully with antique, curious and other decorative items. All rooms lead onto the courtyard which also connects them. This makes the courtyard into natural and airy additional accommodation.

|
The original Bodega, with its rough plastered walls, has now been turned into a cosy living-room.

In addition to the living-room in the Bodega with seating and a divan that can been used as an extra bed, the Casa Niagara has a spacious sitting-room with a large dining-table that seats eight and cosy seating with a sofa-bed. Here is the sat-TV and a stereo.
The spacious colourful kitchen is excellent for cooking together. The large working surface offers plenty of room for culinary experiments which can be sampled at a small dining-table.

The two bedrooms of the Casa Niagara are comfortably decorated and have twin beds that can be made into a double if required. Together with the double sofa bed and the divan in the Bogeda, enough room to sleep 7 persons.

In addition to the large bathroom complete with shower, double wash basins, bidet and WC there is an extra smaller bathroom with a shower, WC and basin.
