The holiday house Casa Roja on Tenerife stands in the grounds of a large Finca with fine views of the countryside and the Atlantic. This very old stone house has been sensitively restored and furnished. A covered terrace adds an airy extra room to the house, which by using an open wood burning stove, can be used even on cool evenings. The same terrace is the ideal breakfast spot in the morning sun.

The old country-house is built in the traditional Canary style with stone walls up to 50 cm thickness and thus assuring a pleasant indoor climate throughout the whole year. For optical reasons a number of stones have been left purposely without plaster as decoration.

Growing around the Casa Roja there are fruit trees such as mango, papaya, avocado and banana and wonderful fresh herbs for the kitchen.

The holiday house, Casa Roja is together with four other restored country homes, all let as holiday accommodation, on a 4 hectare sized Finca. The Finca is located in unspoiled country-side just below the small mountain village of El Jaral 800 m above sea-level. From here there are splendid views of countryside and the Atlantic.

On the Finca there is a swimming-pool, sun-terrace and seating area for the use of all the guests.

The holiday homes are connected with each other by small paths and steps that lead through the very attractive natural garden.
In addition there is a wine-Bodega in the grounds offering both Tappas and local wines.
This is also suitable for larger parties or groups.

The Casa Roja is charmingly furnished in a rustic country style. The furniture, light colours and attractive timber ceilings make for a pleasing ambience. The spacious living-room is furnished with comfortable seating of which the sofa can be made into a double bed.

The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and has a shower. If there are four guests using the Casa Roja, a second bathroom in the annex is available.

The attractive bedroom with the high timber ceiling, warm colours and colour match textiles is both very light and cosy. The large double bed in country-house style is a promise of sweet dreams.
