Casa Chispita is a small cottage standing in the grounds of a Finca in the south of Tenerife on the perimeter of the small country village of El Jaral. Here, one has a splendid view of the countryside and the wide Atlantic. On the 4 hectares of the Finca are five restored and refurbished country houses, each with its own garden and terraces plus the use of a communal swimming-pool.

The natural stone built house is typical for the region and has been lovingly restored and fitted out with all modern comfort. The living space is enlarged by a sheltered and roofed terrace (right) with a glorious panorama of the Atlantic.

Rustic elements such as natural stone walls, mixed and colourful gardens with both decorative and useful plants and small paths and steps help to keep the Finca look as natural as possible.

Both wild and cultured plants – such as the cacti originally grown for the breeding of Cochineal beetles – have been cleverly integrated into the overall plan of the grounds.

Accent pieces in a decorative rustic style underline the authentic character of the Finca.

The decorations and interior furnishings in the country-house, Casa Chispita, are light and in a countrified style to match the surroundings.
|
|

The layout of the rooms has been cleverly planned for maximal modern convenience in a snug atmosphere. A sofa and seating divide the living and sleeping areas and next to the kitchenette, with a two hot-plate oven, there is a small kitchen bar with a view of the landscape and the Atlantic.

|
The pleasant but simple bathroom has a shower and WC and includes a make-up mirror, hairdryer and two bath-robes.
