Lying embedded amongst palms and cacti in the open country-side of Lanzarote, stands this lavishly restored manor house, Finca Carolina. The snow-white facade of this spacious house, typical for Lanzarote and almost of surrealistic appearance, is topped by the crown of a single palm tree.

The garden is planted in a typical Canary style with a mixture of fruit trees and decorative plants, such as these lushly flowering Poinsettias.

Although only small windows break the main front of the building, the facade to the inside courtyard shows a generous expanse of window.
|

A number of courtyards and outside seating arrangements with high quality furniture are all part of the generous complex belonging to this 200 year old manor house. At all times of day the right spot can be found - according to taste - to relax, either in full sunshine or in the shade of a bower.

Lying apart from the buildings is the landscaped pool together with its shady seating, sunbathing terrace, excellent sun-beds and a barbecue area. This is shared together with the guests from the neighbouring Casa Antigua.

Heated during the winter, the large pool uses a sea-water plant. The slightly salty water offers wonderful recreation and for children a never ending feature of fun.

The interior furnishings of the Finca Carolina are of superb quality and in a country -house style.

Two wings, according to the number of the guests using this large complex, are opened for use. This makes this holiday house suitable for both large families or groups as well as for a single pair. Each part includes a wonderful sunny conservatory furnished for dining and with a comfortable seating arrangement, a well equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite.

Light and sunny colours set the scene in this carefully restored country house. Red-brown floor tiles are in perfect harmony with the old timber ceilings, the height of which vary from room to room, or as in the case of the living-room, slope together in a most untypical fashion.

The complete holiday accommodation is within the walls of the old manor house and for that reason ideal climatic conditions can be enjoyed throughout the whole year. Especially during the summer months the guest learns to appreciate the building traditions of the Canaries with the thick walls and small windows.
