The holiday home, Castillo, is part of the unique complex in the Valle de las Cuevas on Lanzarote. The three completely detached holiday houses lie embedded in a narrow valley between bizarre rock cliffs and are built onto and into the rock face. Through the use of natural stone and a sensitive approach with regard to the existing structures a perfect combination of living and nature has been created.

Above: A view through the Valle de las Cuevas. Walls of natural stone and rock blend into another. Paths and steps wind between and join up the various look-outs, terraces and living levels. Endemic plants in the garden have been supplemented through the addition of tropical plants.

Meticulous care to detail and the use of natural stone has gone into the building of the Castillo de las Cuevas which hugs the face of the rock. The use of asymmetrical and partly rounded forms results in the architecture being at one with the surroundings.

The terrace is furnished with quality garden furniture. One can retire during the hot midday hours to a covered outside area or to the living accommodation with its perfect climatic conditions due to the rock or natural stone walls.

In addition to the very private outside grounds of the holiday house, there is for the use of all the guests in the Valle de las Cuevas, a large terrace with heated pool and sun-beds with a rustic style seating area.
