The holiday house, Casa de las Cuevas, is situated at the lower end of the Valle de las Cuevas in a beautiful complex consisting of three houses and a pool area, built in the style of César Manrique, blending harmoniously into the landscape.

Built totally of natural stone the Casa lies tucked between cliffs and flowering bushes with a magnificent view across the open landscape of Lanzarote and the Atlantic.

On the terrace which is both private and quiet, with its lovely mosaic table, chimney with barbecue facilities and comfortable chairs, one can enjoy the fantastic view. The canopy that runs the full width of the house is covered in bamboo matting which spends delightful dappled shade.

The Casa de las Cuevas is situated at circa 300 m above sea level and lies above the elegant yacht harbour of Pueto del Carmen and offers – by clear weather – a view as far as to Lanzarotes neighbouring islands Fuertoventura and Lobos.

The design of this complex in the Valle de las Cuevas is certainly unique on Lanzarote. The fascination lies in the unusual integration of the architecture into the rock landscape. Through the buildings that hug the cliff and branch into the natural caves, together with the overall use of natural stone, the result is a complete harmonising of accommodation and landscape.

The centre of the complex is the garden with the pool area, with heated pool, sun-terrace and many spots to sit, open to all the guests in the Valle de las Cuevas.

Optimal utilisation has been made of the living area of the house due to the clever use of built in storage, the reason for it appearing roomy and light. Stone built, the sofa in the living-room is covered with an oriental patterned material and doubles as an extra bed. The small kitchenette has attractive wooden cabinets and a dining table, both integrated into the living-room.
Materials and lamps give the ambience a touch of Moroccan flair, not surprising as Morocco lies after all, practically opposite.

The kitchen is very well equipped with all utensils and kitchen appliances such as coffee-maker and dishwasher.
