The Finca El Rodadero is a lovely rustic cottage in rural surroundings of La Palma. This old, stone-built dwelling was lovingly restored and enlarged by way of an extension. The large corner-stones bear witness to the solid construction of the stone walls of the old house. A typical canary-style arbour enlarges the cottage giving a wonderful airy and shady place to sit.

The rural character of the cottage is emphasised by the use of rustic elements both in the building and in the garden.

The cottage Finca El Rodadero is situated above the hamlet of Puntagorda amidst small kitchen gardens at the end of a private road. Not only the typical for Puntagorda almond cultivation - the big annual almond flower festival is celebrated here - but also a large variety of fruit and vegetables are grown. Each weekend on the local market the many agricultural products such as honey, olives and wine can be purchased.

Warm colours have been chosen for walls and textiles and together with the solid wooden furniture and the traditional canary timber roof the house appears both pleasant and cosy.

The interior decorations are in keeping with the rustic, country style of the house but with all the comfort of a modern home. In the living room antique roof timbers of tea wood, the resin rich heart of the canary pine, have been restored and add a special charm. The integrated kitchen, lovingly equipped with its wooden cupboards and cabinets, compliments the other furnishings. The living-room in the old house has a dining-table seating four persons and a comfortable sofa in front of the wood burning stove.

The cottage has two well equipped bathrooms.
