Situated between Punta Gorda and Garafia lies the small village of Las Tricias which was once a main settlement of the Guanchen. Here, amidst a densely wooded environment and embedded between steep gorges and green meadows is the location for two beautiful holiday Apartment which can be rented either separately or together: Los Aljibes.
|
|
Built in a rural style, the stone Apartment blend harmoniously in their surroundings. Wherever possible the old natural stone built facades have been retained and for rebuilding new natural stone has been used.

The dark frames of the mullioned windows add a delightful contrast to the delicate yellow of the facades, the flowering cacti give a colourful accent.

The Apartment have a pleasantly comfortable interior and in addition, for the use of both Apartment, there is a ten metre long pool. Those who wish can dive as the blue depths reach 2.05 metres.
|
|
|
|
The large sun-terrace alongside the pool offers the perfect paradise with comfortable sun-beds as an invitation to relax. All-round there is flowering greenery with here and there a few white fluffy clouds passing. There is truth in the saying that the higher one climbs the closer one is to the sky as from this idyllic spot one can enjoy the view of the wide expanse of the Atlantic.

Shady corners can be found in plenty around the pool.

The pool-terrace offers a wonderful view across the fascinating landscape of Las Tricias dominated by the rough charm of the north. Beneath the pergola between the natural stone facades are tables, chairs and a small barbecue area. Any time between sun-rise and sun-set it is the ideal place to sit together.

Here in the north the concept is " Tourismo rural". Those who prize naturalness will find it in this form of tourism.

As a small temple the red-tiled roof is crowned by the blue firmament. Here the trinity rules: Clear air, wide horizon and perfect peace…

Natural materials, in keeping with the local style, have been chosen wherever possible for the interior decoration of the Apartment. A constant feature and beautifully kept, is the beautiful wooden flooring. The brass bedside lamps give a warm glow to light you to bed.
|
|
|
|
It is no coincidence that the exotic signs decorating the bed-heads of both the wooden beds have an infinity with cave drawings as the prehistoric homes of the Guanchen are practically just around the corner.

Both houses have a twin-bedded room. The bathroom is adjacent.
|

The winter in the north can sometimes be chilly. Now is the time to enjoy the evenings in front of the fire. One can review the events of the day cosily tucked into the soft cushions of the large sofa whilst listening to the crackling of the fire.

The bathroom, also using mostly natural materials, is light and friendly.

A visit to the market in Puntagorda provides for delicious meals. The local farming community offers home-grown fruit and vegetables on Saturdays and Sundays and in addition freshly baked bread, cake and other delicacies.
