Built completely in the style of a complex with a long history, the various buildings of the Parador mirror the diversity of Canary building development. Lying between are large and small inside courtyards, lush and classic gardens and both shady and sunny terraces.

Facing the garden, the restaurant with its beautifully structured glass façade, has a magnificent view of the Atlantic and the Teide, the 3718 m high volcano on the neighbouring island of Tenerife. This is a fascinating view in winter when it is lightly powdered with snow.

A small paradise in itself is the garden with its lofty palm trees, flowering shrubs and exotic plants. Into this, the architecture of the hotel with its typical Canary style roofs blend perfectly.
|
|
Most of the hotel rooms have a terrace leading to the garden or one of the covered Canary wooden balconies.

The interior décor underlines the stylish charm of the hotel with antiques and decorative accent pieces which are reminders of Columbus's voyages of discovery.

A glass veranda encloses the spacious dining-room with its beautiful timber ceiling and it is from here that one can enjoy the lovely views of the garden and the Atlantic. This is the perfect setting for delicious Canary-Mediterranean food and wines which the hotel spoils its guests with. Keeping in with the standards of the Parador, the menus offer regional specialities and wonderful locally grown fresh produce.

The exquisite interior of the hotel with its numerous large salons, wonderful timber ceilings and shimmering wooden floors would equally grace a stately home. Generous use of costly materials lovingly worked and the stylish furnishing with choice antiques has resulted in a light and pleasant ambience.
Right: The large salon with its view of the garden is just the right place for a snug game of bridge or an exciting detective novel read in front of the fireplace.
