The Villa Maximilian stands in a quiet location which is just fifteen minutes by car from the golden dunes and wonderful beaches of Maspalomas. This is a comfortable country house with a fantastic view across the landscape and the ocean.

The wrought-iron gate to this holiday domicile has a touch of the adventurous. The cast-iron bell in the white arch of the entrance adds a certain pastoral charm. Embedded in the sparsely flowering barren landscape of the hinterland, the impression is somehow Mexican.
Without doubt, this is a grand residence. An attractive Finca, with a tower and several stories standing amidst flowering bushes and shrubs.

Up to six persons find room in the Villa Maximilian for a quiet and relaxing holiday with all modern comforts. A flowering garden surrounds the 280 m_ villa with various palms, bougainvilleas, olives, rock-roses and white-yellow frangipani all growing in the sunshine.
In the pool under the palms the visitors can take a refreshing bath whenever they wish. The swimming-pool is surrounded by a generously sized sun-terrace. From here the guest has a clear view of the Atlantic.
Comfortable sun-beds are placed in the shade of the palms. Here the nautical colours contrast dramatically with the barren landscape. Succulents possessing their own water reservoir point at the desert character of the environment.
As a guest in the Villa Maximilian one is among familiar company, either on the beach or the golf course close by. The comfortable sun-beds are an ideal place for a browse in a book which might just be a thrilling western, here one has the complimentary scenery.

Most unusual is the windbreak around the pool in the form of a glassed viaduct. The stone arches add to the Mexican like atmosphere of the Finca. From here one has everything in view and can let oneself be carried along by the mood.
The Villa Maximilian was built by a German architect in the style of the 1970s who's preference for this era can be found still today in a number of details such as in the interior decoration. Coarsely woven basket lampshades, robust material for the chairs, panelled doors, brass handles on the furniture and much more...
The rustic table offers enough room for a hearty get-together.

The open fire radiates a pleasant heat. Surrounded by rough natural stone, wooden casks, Moroccan floor cushions and a bar with a leather surface and leather upholstery for the bar stools one feels back in the 1970s. Missing is a young Sean Connery, in his classic role as James Bond. Let's see what's on Sat-TV.
Back to the present: The kitchen has all modern conveniences necessary. Up to date electrical equipment makes for easy work just as it should, after all the guests are here on holiday.

The Villa Maximilian is a two storied building. Access to the roof terrace and the view across the dunes is from the top floor. Close by and within easy view is the golf-course.Two of the three double bedrooms as well as a bathroom and a shower are to be found on the top floor. The third double room and two further bathrooms are on the lower floor.
The large bedroom under the roof has a clear view of the ocean with the double-bed in country-house style inviting sweet dreams. The whole room has been delightfully furnished. In addition to the bedside tables there is a dressing-table and a beautiful wardrobe, all carefully complemented. Together with the white materials, the dark wood assures a quiet and cosy atmosphere.
