Under the large covered terrace, a small quartet of seats shines in the sunlight. You can enjoy a few leisurely hours here.

“Let peace reside here and evil shall not enter” - this is hopeful inscription with which the well-known conductor and university professor Justus Franz greets everybody passing through the gates of Villa de Los Musicos.  These wonderful premises, set amidst splendid blossoming trees and shrubs, are located on Monte Léon, the most exclusive residential area in Gran Canaria.  It’s no wonder that the finca has long since become the favourite residence of Justus Franz, who has chosen the Canaries as his second home. It’s nice too that he loves to share Villa de Los Musicos with holiday guests.

An incredibly beautiful garden surrounds the house.  Here you can enjoy the tranquillity and seclusion of the surroundings.

The villa is sheltered by tall trees. From the upper terrace, the eye wanders out over the magnificent blossoming nature.

Villa de Los Musicos is a fine example of modern architecture. Friedrich Krämer, the famous architect, has translated principles of Bauhaus style into reality here. It is the material itself that makes an impression: blue volcanic stone from Aruga is the main building material used, in accordance with the building traditions of Gran Canaria.

Visitors are guided step by step through the magnificent park via the wide natural stone slabs.

Like a large green oasis in the middle of bare volcanic stones, the densely overgrown grounds shine on the summit of Monte Léon.

On this lush green island you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature.  A palm grove that has been growing for many years trims the glade on the way to the pool and provides shade as you stroll through the enchanting park.  The grounds round the Villa de Los Musicos measure 20 hectares.

Spending twilight by the heated pool is nice and romantic.

Surrounded by the ripe fruits of the citrus and orange trees lies the Josi house. The rustic natural stone house is ideal for those wishing to cater for themselves and it can be rented separately or in addition to the main house.

An atmosphere of lightness and elegance reigns all over the villa. In the “white lounge”, you can sit around together informally, chat and listen to the strains of the piano.  Now and again, the musician himself does the honours and music-lovers are very often guests here too.

Even the bathrooms are light and spacious.  Every one has its own large bathtub.  The blue floor is a wonderful complement to the white tiles.  Blue is the colour of the water and recalls distance, the sky and the sea - quite simply a successful composition of colour.

You will find lots of examples of modern and classical art from all over the world in Casa de Los Musicos.  Chinese scholars keep a protective eye over an old bureau. This antique piece of furniture has been positioned with thought and provides a harmonious contrast to the classically modern surroundings.

Villa de Los Musicos was only recently completely renovated and is fitted with under-floor heating throughout.
