Casa Tamadaba: The lovingly restored Casa Tamadaba is situated in the heart of the El Risco Valley in the north-west of Gran Canaria. El Risco extends to part of the community of Agaete and is considered to be one of the most beautifully valleys of the island. The holiday house derives its name from the Monte Tamadaba, a green ridge  having a stand of the most beautiful pine trees on the Canaries. For a bathing excursion one has the choice between a number of small sandy bays just a few kilometres away.

This old country property has been sensitively restored but has kept its traditional natural stone façade. Awaiting you in front of the house with a seating area is the lovely sun-terrace. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy the tranquillity of country life or to indulge in a cool dip in one's private pool. The successfully refurbished interior presents an ambiance both light and airy due to the addition of large patio doors combined with a new roof.

The interior furnishings are a colourful style mix being something between a Spanish country style and contemporary modern. The warm shades of terra-cotta tiling and timber elements add a delightful contrast to the gleaming brilliance of the white walls. The open kitchen and dining area leads directly into the spacious living room with comfortable sofa seating. This generously sized kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine in addition to all necessary kitchen equipment.

The thick stone walls of the house guarantee that on the hottest of days the interior stays pleasantly cool, a prerequisite for refreshing slumbers. The light and completely newly fitted bathroom offers space and all modern comfort. The Casa Tamadaba is the perfect house for a country holiday on Gran Canaria: Hiking and bathing facilities are close by, a bar-restaurant and shops can be found in El Risco and for your wonderful al-fresco evenings, a star studded sky.
