Casa Vista Verde: The Casa Viste Verde is an attractive holiday cottage standing in the centre of what was once an area of El Hierro given over to the cultivation of grain. Crops of chick peas and wheat were once grown here by the grandparents to be harvested in late summer with the help of the whole family. Out of happy memories of a carefree childhood together with a strong affiliation to the countryside, the idea was born to create an attractive retreat where the tranquil environment could be enjoyed.

Around the cottage where once the cereal crops grew are now flourishing orchards planted with mangos, figs and avocado trees. The stone built house combines traditional building skills with modern comfort. A large sliding glass door lets in sun and light whilst at the same time giving views of a flowering garden, sweeping countryside and a panorama of the Atlantic.

On the ground level we find the live-in kitchen with its round dining-table, a bathroom with shower and a lounge with a comfortable sofa. Here, an open staircase takes you upstairs to a gallery bedroom under the eves open to the living-room and where twin beds stand on a gleaming  timber floor.
